Our Home Renovations Team
Each and every member of our team — from our full time employees (on-site carpenters, client care, project management) to the contractors we have chosen to partner with — adheres to the same high set of standards that are in line with our commitment to you.
We handle all aspects of your project including design, client selections, permit applications, hiring of our trades team, quotes/agreements, project management, scheduling, and inspections.
Our trades team consists of long-standing relationships and we are confident with the people we bring into your home. They are qualified and are in good standing with their respective certifying bodies. We only work with those whom we know to hold to the same values and standards as we do.
We assign a Project Manager from our team to handle all aspects of your renovation. The Project Manager is in constant communication with you throughout the project and is someone you can call with any questions, concerns or changes that need to be made.
Gord Turner
Our company founder, Gord Turner, has a long history in construction and renovations.
He began the business in 1989, becoming fully committed to providing a different kind of renovation company. He built a solid reputation in the community due to his adherence to customer care, honesty, integrity, quality workmanship, and quality results.
In 2001, the business became incorporated and the name became Gord Turner Renovations Ltd. to better reflect the company’s growth and services. Gord is a Journeyman Carpenter who over the years of building Gord Turner Renovations, has transitioned from being ‘on the tools’ and running all aspects of the business itself, to becoming a full-time businessman, mainly handling sales and management. He makes education and training not only a priority for his team but for himself as well, having demonstrated commitment to company growth by implementing the services of a certified business coach.
Gord has established and maintained strong, supportive relationships with local trades and suppliers and has won Gold and Silver Tommie Awards, including ‘Renovator of the Year.’ Gord Turner Renovations was voted “Best Residential Renovator of the Central Okanagan” by the readers of Okanagan Life Magazine .
Gord is active in his community and has been greatly involved with Young Life of Canada for a number of years as well as being an annual sponsor of the KSS Basketball Tournament and co-sponsor of the Young Life Golf Tournament. He has gathered members of his team and together to build the foundation for a “Habitat for Humanity” home. As an on-going endeavor, he and his team renovate for organizations such as Harmony House, the Kelowna Gospel Mission and have built houses annually on Mexico Mission trips.
Cody Turner
Cody is a journeyman carpenter and has been working in the business since 2001. Attention to detail and the ability to understand all aspects of construction make Cody the ideal project manager.
Kyle Turner
After attending school for Mechanical Engineering Kyle returned to the business in 2012. Kyle has worked in the field and has years of hands-on experience. Kyle now works in the office working with Design, Pricing and the technical aspects of operations.
